Dolly Parton–approved and award-winning, Brad Hoshaw is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter known for emotionally resonant performances and soulful songwriting. With roots in Americana, folk, and country, Brad has shared the stage with artists like Neil Young, Willie Nelson, and Nathaniel Rateliff, and won 5 OEAAs including Artist of the Year. He’s currently performing with his new band, writing prolifically, and building musical community wherever he goes.
Brad Hoshaw is a Dolly Parton–approved, award-winning singer-songwriter known for building community through emotionally authentic performances and storytelling. With roots in folk, Americana, and country, Brad brings heart and honesty to every stage he steps on—whether fronting his band or performing solo. Since relocating to Nashville in 2023, he has written over 150 new songs, performed widely, and assembled a stellar band of collaborators, with plans to record new material and take the show on the road.
A longtime champion of creative community, Brad founded the Benson Songwriter Exchange and has curated countless rounds, co-writing sessions, and retreats. His songwriting weaves vivid storytelling with unflinching emotional honesty, offering listeners connection and catharsis.
Brad has shared the stage with legendary artists like Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Frank Black (Pixies), Pete Yorn, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, and John Moreland. He’s composed original music for American Public Media and the Amazon Prime film Black Luck, and has volunteered in Nebraska prisons helping inmates channel their stories into song.
