There’s a longer version of this story that probably belongs in a memoir someday.
This isn’t that version.
This is just to say:
the songs are finished.
Six months ago, I thought this project would already be complete. It ended up taking a different path - slower, more complicated, and at times uncertain. But I stayed with it and saw it all the way through.
That part matters to me.
These four songs were originally written for a film. Right now, they don’t have a final home. They’re in that in-between place - not released, not placed - just existing.
And honestly, that’s enough for now.
A group of people stepped in along the way and helped me bring this project across the finish line. I’ve been sending them the finished recordings this week, which has been really meaningful.
I’m going to keep the fundraiser open for a few more days before closing it out.
After that, I’ll figure out what comes next for these songs.
For now, I’m just taking a moment to appreciate the fact that they exist.
